MBRU Simulation Instructor Course

This course is conferred with CME Credits upon successful completion.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the course, participants are expected to be able to:

• Understand the concept of Simulation Based Education
• Design and deliver simulation-based scenarios using best practices in SBE.
• Design and deliver procedural skill training using best practices in SBE.
• Demonstrate skills required of a debriefing facilitator in a safe environment.
• Understand the importance of human factors, patient safety and CRM principles.

Is this course for me?

This program will establish standards for Healthcare professionals on how to conduct Simulation Based Education (SBE) in health professions education curricula. The target group for this course are educators in healthcare who use traditional teaching methodologies and need specific instructions in using simulation effectively, the course focuses on providing participants the knowledge and skills in the overall design, delivery, debriefing and evaluation of simulation-based education.
