Proper flap elevation and precise suturing techniques are essential for minimizing complications and ensuring long-term success of the surgical procedure. Clinicians often face challenges in achieving optimal surgical outcomes due to the complexities involved in flap elevation and suturing, particularly when dealing with delicate or compromised tissue. These challenges can impact wound healing, tissue approximation, patients’ pain and discomfort, and the overall success of surgical interventions. This workshop will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the principles behind flap elevation and suturing, emphasizing the importance of tissue handling, tension management, and the selection of appropriate suturing methods. Through hands-on practice and expert guidance, participants will gain the skills needed to confidently perform these key techniques, enhancing their ability to achieve optimal surgical closures and improve patient outcomes.

Course content:

This full-day course will comprise of didactic lectures and intensive hands-on workshop. Using dental models, participants will perform flap elevation and practice various suturing methods.
